Quick update to wish everyone a Merry Christmas.

The main fork of AntoliCorp is going live. So uh, yay.
Of course it isn’t going under the name antolicorp… that would be far too obvious…

In other news demonoid is back, suckier than ever. I wish they would enforce some rules already. I think it’s come down to the point where isohubt is better than demonoid…..

Today is a sad day. Plox.Tor.Hu (hax.tor.hu ‘s free shell server) /home partition died. All the user dirs gone. All the users files are currupted, and unfortunately that includes half my site, unichan.info, gbatemp.net caffeine eggdrop & much more.
Here’s hoping that they recover some, if not all of it.
To be fair, they are the best webhost ever. Even beats most commercial hosting packages (of course, a dedi or even vps pwns it)

In other news, I finally got my google beta tester (yay bug reporting) google wave invite. Since it’s prebeta, there’s not much there yet. So far it’s a mistake to call it social networking. Ultimate Collaboration WebApp? yes. Glorified Email & IM Combo? yes. Social Network? no way.

Finally, #AntoliStuff is now open (irc.gbatemp.net:5190/#antolistuff).

So my crusades from the irl are finally over (results are epic failure).
Anyone who bothers to read any of the crap I post on twitter, or spam on IRC will know that I got home 5 mins after the courier left. So today exactly 24 hours later (around about) I finally get ma laptop back.
So I set up a bunch of cgi stuff (planning on learning cgi and perl) including the shell for a cgi proxy.

Also my left ear is numb (I can barely feel hot/cold) and it can’t hear properly… I have no idea what’s going on…

Firstly, my random outburst of twitter activity. I’m bored of the same-old facebook whoring, and it’s shitty API… So I started using Twitter too.
Nice API, and everything else is based around simplicity.

Secondly, I have officially become a google fanboy. After all, what other company could make my old 512mb ram 1.4ghz pc load pages in seconds. Who else could make such a wonderful cloud docs system… based around simplicity. Not to mention gmail and google apps. The final blow, as it were, wad the sheer win that they have poured into Google Chrome OS. It is amazing. Definitely going to use it.

Thirdly, after a day of organising various stuffs, the SpamBlog now self-promotes via Twitter (notice, self) it’s completely automated. It even uses self promotion tactics using an awesome script I wrote and a cron tab.

They’ve had my laptop for a week now, it doesn’t take that long to replace a laptop motherboard, especially if the OEM ships them out the same day you order. Even with >9000 other customers.
Proof? Last time it took 4 days.
So either they suck at logistics, or they’re butthurt over me removing my HD.
Or more likely (should that be confirmed fact?) both.

EDIT: lawl, got a phone call asking me if it’s okay for them to erase my data, because my harddrive might be broken. I said sure, after all, the HD is sitting on my desk, as is my external HD… WITH a BACKUP (well, a few weeks old maybe). So uh, basicly they’re wasting tine due to incompetence, but the chances of me getting a free HD out of it just trippled

So uh yeah
My laptop shorted again.

Using my “the tech guys” waranty again… (although even I know more than them)
Only 4 phone calls to make them listen this time that’s a new record

I, uh, removed my HD from it before they picked it up for two reasons:
1) The guy on the final phone call said something about “restoring the data to how it was when you bought it”, which is not only bad cause I havn’t backed it up in about a month, but because that also means going back to their fugly OEM branded Vista Home Premium x86 (even writing the name makes me shudder… *eww*)
2) they removed my password last time, which means that they used my laptop. No less the Internet explorer history (I also had chrome, opera and firefox lol) and my logfiles confirmed that. With more of my shit on, I get the feeling that they might do something worse…
3) They might put a new HD in anyways, every little helps :3

Other than that, nothing significant happened…
Hrm, nothing else to say… except the game
